Long reads that are also accurate
Short reads are accurate but short. Nanopore reads are long but less accurate per read. PacBio HiFi gives you both, which is why it resolves the repeats, structural variants and haplotypes that other platforms miss.
As PacBio's official distributor in Pakistan we supply Revio and Vega systems, kits and application support. We also supply sequencing kits for Illumina, MGI, GeneMind and Thermo Fisher platforms, and Oxford Nanopore kits through 4bases.

HiFi long reads on a benchtop
Vega brings PacBio HiFi sequencing to labs that do not need a production-scale Revio: whole genomes of smaller organisms, targeted panels, full-length RNA and 16S microbiome studies, on an instrument that fits on a bench.

What is new in genomics and biotech
173,303 Pakistani genomes, published in Nature
The Pakistan Genome Resource found about 34,000 people who naturally lack a working copy of one of roughly 6,500 genes. About a third of participants' parents were first cousins, which makes such 'human knockouts' far easier to find than in European cohorts.
