HiFi long-read sequencing: reads thousands of bases long that are also 99.9% accurate.

PacBio HiFi sequencing reads single DNA molecules end to end, so it resolves the structural variants, repeat expansions, haplotypes and full-length transcripts that short reads miss, and reads DNA methylation in the same run.

Sequencing in depth

Long reads or short reads?

Short-read sequencing is the workhorse for SNVs, panels and ctDNA. PacBio HiFi long reads resolve the structural variants, repeats, methylation and phasing that short reads miss. Many labs need both.

Deletions, inversions and translocations are read end to end.

Methylation is read from the kinetics of the same run.

Variants across a gene are linked on one molecule, which matters for HLA.

Full-length isoforms

Kinnex and Iso-Seq read complete transcripts and fusion partners.

Strain-level microbiome

Full-length 16S separates species that V3–V4 amplicons cannot.
